The Inter Ministerial Telecom Commission has approved this proposal. After this, Reliance Jio, BSNL, Airtel and other operators will be able to start this service. TRAI Advisor Arvind Kumar says that the new connectivity service will benefit the customers. With this, customers will have more options. Especially in areas where there is a problem of service quality. Most of them include such multistory buildings or houses where telecom signals remain weak. But, WiFi's service is good.

An official said that in order to use Internet telephony, customers need to download an app. This app will be provided through operators. Every operator can also have its own separate app. In addition, the 10 digit number will also be released. This number will be exactly like the mobile number now. For example, if you currently use Airtel SIM, but later you get live internet telephony app then you will get a separate number for it. You can use this number and the app through broadband.

The telecom regulator (TRAI) had suggested this in October last year about Internet telephony. New connectivity was suggested to eliminate the problem of call drop. The purpose behind this is to remove the increasing call-drop and poor network in the country.

However, if you use the SIM of a company and later you use the same operator's app then you do not have to change the number. You will be able to use your current number Telecom Regulator TRAI emphasized on Internet calling as it would be the cheapest service for voice calls. This will end the call drop problem.
